veritys worlds is a Forge 1.20.1 pack containing 22 mods, with a focus on multiplayer atmosphere rather than sprawling technology or magic systems.

Ambient Sounds and Sound Physics Remastered strengthen the audio experience, while Simple Voice Chat gives nearby players another way to communicate. Corpse and Hunger Strike alter familiar survival pressures, and In Control supports changes to mob behaviour and spawning.

The pack also includes visual choices such as BSL, Complementary Unbound, Nostalgia, and Potato Shaders. Those are mainly client-side concerns: players can choose an option that fits their own hardware without making the server render shaders.

Better When Nobody Has to Play Host

Horror works best when players can join independently, explore, and discover what somebody else left behind. A hosted world keeps that continuity without relying on one person’s gaming PC and internet connection.

This is a relatively compact pack, so it will commonly be lighter than large automation or progression packs. Actual performance still depends on player activity, world size, mob counts, and any configuration changes you make.

Exploration can create short CPU and storage spikes as new terrain generates. If several players travel in different directions at once, expect more work than when everyone remains in established areas. Pre-generating commonly used regions can reduce those spikes for planned events.

In Control settings deserve care. Large increases to spawn frequency or population limits can affect tick speed even when the base mod list is small. Change one setting at a time and use the panel’s performance tools to check the result.

Simple Voice Chat usually needs its configured voice port to be reachable. It adds network traffic, but visual shader choice does not normally add server rendering load. Keep client-only shader and graphics files out of manual server modifications unless the pack’s server files specifically require them.
