About Project FaIsity (Horror)

Project FaIsity is a compact horror and adventure pack for Minecraft 1.20.1, built on Forge 47.4.10 with 31 mods. It aims for a more unnerving survival experience without becoming an enormous everything-and-the-kitchen-sink pack.

Falsity and From The Fog bring the horror focus, while abandoned cabins, watchtowers, and Towns and Towers give groups more places to discover. Sophisticated Backpacks supports longer trips, JEI keeps crafting approachable, and SecurityCraft gives players extra options around shared bases.

That combination works particularly well in multiplayer: split up to cover ground, regroup when somebody sees something questionable, then argue over who has to investigate the noise.

Hosting Considerations for Project FaIsity (Horror)

This is lighter than many large Forge packs, but mod count alone does not determine server performance. Forge still has its own startup and memory overhead, and exploration can become the busiest part of a session.

Generating fresh chunks commonly causes short CPU spikes, especially when players travel in different directions at once. Sensible view and simulation distances help keep that under control. For an established world, periodic restarts can also clear accumulated Java memory before it turns into sluggish ticks.

Allow extra memory as the world grows or the group expands, but avoid assigning an excessive amount without a reason. Too much Java heap can produce longer garbage-collection pauses rather than better play. CreeperPanel’s diagnostic tools can help identify whether lag is coming from chunk generation, entities, memory pressure, or a particular mod interaction.

Back up the world before pack updates or major configuration changes. Horror packs often depend on timing, spawning, structures, and atmosphere, so changing several settings at once can make problems harder to trace.
