Your Twixxel creatures server, with the useful bits included.

Host your Twixxel creatures server

Host Twixxel Creatures as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and give your group an always-online world where the darkness, strange noises, and lurking creatures do not vanish when one player logs off.

  • One-click installation for the Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge pack.
  • Premium is recommended for longer-running worlds and active groups.
  • Home PCs can struggle when creature activity and exploration overlap.
  • Casual hosting ties the world to one player’s connection and uptime.
  • Updates preserve your configuration changes instead of resetting them.

A Shared Horror World That Keeps Moving

Twixxel Creatures is a 64-mod horror pack built around unsettling creatures, stalkers, darkness, fog, disturbing sounds, and jump scares. Structure additions from Moog’s mods give players more reasons to explore, while Quark broadens the underlying Minecraft experience. SecurityCraft can also become rather useful when everyone suddenly takes locked doors seriously.

The pack runs on Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge 47.4.10. Its horror works particularly well with a regular group: players can build a defensible base, split up to explore, and discover exactly why splitting up was a poor decision.

CreeperPanel handles installation and pack updates, so you can spend less time moving mod files around and more time organising the next bad expedition.

Hosting Considerations for Twixxel Creatures

Creatures, chunks, and server load

Horror packs often place more pressure on a server when several players explore separate areas. New chunk generation, structure placement, creature AI, and many active entities can all arrive at once. You may notice this most when the group spreads out at night rather than staying near one base.

A strong single-core CPU matters for keeping ticks moving smoothly. Memory needs can also grow as the world expands and more chunks remain active. For that reason, we generally point Twixxel Creatures groups towards our Premium range, particularly if the server will run continuously or support frequent exploration.

Keep the pack matched

Every player should use the same pack release and compatible configuration as the server. Horror mods can rely heavily on sounds, visuals, animations, and scripted behaviour, so mismatched files may cause failed connections or experiences that do not behave as intended.

Make a world backup before pack updates or substantial configuration changes. It is also worth restarting periodically rather than leaving an active modded server untouched indefinitely. If performance drops, check entity counts and newly explored areas before assuming that adding memory will solve everything; modded lag is often caused by tick-heavy activity rather than RAM alone.

Why Run It with CreeperHost?

Our hybrid VPS platform gives modded Minecraft the native CPU performance it needs when exploration and creature activity ramp up. Built-in diagnostics help identify whether lag is coming from ticks, entities, or another part of the server instead of leaving you to guess.

On eligible Premium services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain what it finds, and prepare safe next steps for your approval. If things remain strange in the non-fun way, our real support team brings more than 13 years of modded hosting experience to the problem.

Got questions?

Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.

CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.

Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
