Your Farm and Far server, with the useful bits included.
Host your Farm and Far server
Host Farm and Far as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and give your group an always-on place to grow farms, cook together, explore, and tackle the pack’s tougher encounters without relying on one player’s PC.
- Install and update the pack in a few clicks while keeping your configuration changes.
- Premium is our recommended range for smoother exploration and long-term worlds.
- Home hosting can struggle when several players generate new terrain at once.
- Casual hosting often becomes limiting as farms, entities, and explored chunks accumulate.
- DDoS protection helps keep shared worlds reachable when your group wants to play.
Farm, Feast, Then Fight Something Horrible
Farm and Far is a 131-mod Forge pack for Minecraft 1.20.1, built around a Vanilla+ progression path. Farmer’s Delight and its additions expand food and farming, while Aquaculture gives fishing more purpose.
Exploration has plenty to uncover through Terralith, Better Archaeology, and reworked structures including YUNG’s Better Strongholds and Jungle Temples. Combat escalates through additions such as Mutant Monsters and L_Ender’s Cataclysm, leading beyond the usual Ender Dragon milestone into further endgame challenges.
CreeperPanel makes installing the correct pack version straightforward, so nobody has to spend the evening matching Forge builds and mod files before the first seed is planted.
Hosting Considerations for Farm and Far
Farm and Far sits in the middle ground between lightweight Vanilla+ and a large kitchen-sink pack. Memory matters, but good CPU performance is just as important when players spread out, generate terrain, load structures, or fight entity-heavy encounters.
A few common patterns are worth planning for:
- New terrain causes short bursts of extra work. Several players exploring in different directions can produce noticeable pauses, particularly early in a world. Pre-generating an agreed area can help busy groups.
- Large farms need sensible limits. Dense animal pens, dropped items, villagers, and constantly active farms can gradually affect tick speed. More memory alone will not fix an overloaded area.
- World files grow over time. Exploration-focused groups should allow room for backups and watch disk use rather than discovering a storage problem after months of play.
- Pack updates deserve a backup. Changes involving world generation, scripts, or configuration are best applied after protecting the current world.
For a small, disciplined group, requirements may stay moderate. If players explore heavily, build ambitious farms, or keep the world running for months, Premium gives the server more breathing room and is the range we would normally recommend.
Why Run Farm and Far With CreeperHost?
Our hybrid VPS platform delivers native CPU performance on hardware selected for modded Minecraft, helping when Forge, world generation, and busy bases all ask for attention at once.
Built-in diagnostic tools help track down lag instead of guessing. On eligible Premium services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain what it finds, and prepare safe next steps for your approval.
And when the server gets properly strange, our support team brings more than 13 years of modded hosting experience to the problem.
Got questions?
Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.
CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.
Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
