Your Vast Beyond server, with the useful bits included.
Host your Vast Beyond server
Host Vast Beyond as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and give your group an always-on world packed with distant structures, new dimensions, dangerous creatures, and plenty of reasons to wander off in different directions.
- One-click installation gets the correct pack files in place quickly.
- Premium is our recommended range for this larger, exploration-heavy pack.
- Home hosting can struggle when several players generate new terrain at once.
- A casually hosted world stops when its owner’s PC sleeps, updates, or leaves.
- CreeperPanel lets you manage mods and configuration without digging through every file.
Exploring Vast Beyond Together
Vast Beyond is a 170-mod adventure and exploration pack for Minecraft 1.20.1, running on Forge 47.4.10. It expands the Overworld while adding further places to explore, including content from The Aether and The Twilight Forest.
Terralith, Alex’s Caves, improved villages, mines, monuments, and other structure mods make travelling a central part of the server. Jurassic Saga and fossil-themed content bring dinosaurs into the mix, while Farmer’s Delight, Sophisticated Storage, and other practical additions give players reasons to settle down between expeditions.
That balance works particularly well in multiplayer. One group can build a shared base while others map dimensions, raid structures, or return with something everyone insists is “definitely safe”.
Hosting Considerations for Vast Beyond
Terrain generation and exploration
Exploration packs commonly put their greatest CPU pressure on the server when players enter fresh chunks. Vast Beyond adds extensive terrain, cave, structure, and dimension content, so several players travelling in different directions can create much more work than a group staying near one base.
Fast flight and widely separated expeditions can intensify those spikes. If your group plans to explore aggressively, favour strong single-core CPU performance and avoid running unrelated jobs alongside the server. Generating commonly visited areas ahead of a launch can also smooth out busy opening sessions, although added dimensions may still generate terrain as players discover them.
Memory and long-term worlds
With 170 mods, Vast Beyond needs more memory than a lightweight vanilla-style server. Actual use commonly grows with player activity, loaded dimensions, entities, storage networks, and the amount of world being actively processed.
Leave some memory free rather than assigning everything available to Java. An oversized allocation is not a cure for slow chunk generation and can sometimes produce longer garbage-collection pauses.
Long-running worlds also become larger as groups explore. Keep an eye on world size before moving or restoring saves, and schedule restarts for quiet periods. When updating, retain a backup and avoid removing world-generation or dimension mods from an established save without checking the consequences first.
Why Run Vast Beyond with CreeperHost?
Our hybrid VPS platform delivers the native CPU performance modded Minecraft needs when terrain generation gets busy. It is a strong match for a pack where players rarely travel together or stay politely inside already-generated chunks.
CreeperPanel includes tools for tracking down lag instead of leaving you to guess. On eligible Premium and Pro services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain likely causes, and prepare safe next steps for your approval.
We have hosted modded Minecraft communities for over 13 years, so when a dimension misbehaves or an update gets awkward, you can talk to people who understand modded servers.
Got questions?
Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.
CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.
Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
