Your DiscoveryRPG server, with the useful bits included.
Host your DiscoveryRPG server
Host DiscoveryRPG as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and give your group an always-on world for shared quests, dangerous dimensions, spellcraft, bosses, and increasingly ambitious factories.
- Premium is our recommended range for this sizeable Forge adventure.
- Home PCs can struggle once exploration and automation happen simultaneously.
- Casual hosting becomes awkward when players need the world online at different times.
- One-click pack updates preserve your configuration changes.
- CreeperPanel lets you manage mods and configs without digging through every file manually.
A Guided Modded RPG Built for Groups
DiscoveryRPG runs on Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge, blending structured RPG progression with magic, technology, exploration, and combat. Its 300-plus custom quests help newer modded players find their feet while giving experienced players a clear route through the pack.
Your group can divide and conquer: one player can develop Thermal Series or Industrial Foregoing machinery while others study Ars Nouveau, Botania, Blood Magic, or Iron’s Spells. Applied Energistics 2 supports the growing storage operation back at base.
Progress also leads beyond the Overworld. Twilight Forest, Blue Skies, and Deeper and Darker add places to explore, while Ice and Fire, Mowzie’s Mobs, and L_Ender’s Cataclysm bring threats worth assembling a proper party for.
Hosting Considerations for DiscoveryRPG
DiscoveryRPG has several patterns that commonly make a modded server busier over time.
Exploration generates new terrain and structures, especially when players travel in different directions or enter separate dimensions. That work tends to hit the CPU in bursts and can cause short pauses on weaker hardware. Keeping the group reasonably close during early exploration helps, as does avoiding unnecessarily high view and simulation distances.
Later worlds usually become more demanding than fresh ones. Automated farms, machine networks, storage systems, loaded chunks, dropped items, and large numbers of creatures can all add ticking work. No single machine room is guaranteed to cause trouble, but several constantly running bases can gradually turn a smooth server into a grumpy one.
Memory needs also grow with world activity and concurrent players. Leave headroom rather than choosing a plan that only just starts the pack. Premium is the sensible starting point for most groups, particularly if you expect a long-running world, regular dimension hopping, or several large bases.
Before pack updates, make a current backup and check any customised recipes or configs. Preserving configuration changes helps, but modded updates still deserve a little care.
Why Run It with CreeperHost?
Our Hybrid VPS platform delivers native CPU performance on modern Ryzen, EPYC, and Intel Ultra hardware chosen with modded Minecraft in mind.
CreeperPanel includes tools for investigating lag when a busy base or runaway entity starts eating tick time. On eligible Premium services, Ask Theo can inspect the server’s current state, explain what it finds, and prepare safe next steps for you to approve.
We have hosted modded communities for over 13 years, and real support staff are available when DiscoveryRPG produces the sort of problem that definitely was not there yesterday.
Got questions?
Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.
CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.
Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
