Build and Grow Your Colony

Start a settlement with MineColonies and guide its growth through construction, resource gathering, and defence. Colony progress connects closely with the wider world: your citizens need supplies, your machines need materials, and exploration reveals the resources required to expand.

Guard Towers are especially important. Spellbooks and stronger magic are tied to colony development, while raiders test whether your settlement is ready. Each stage of growth brings another reason to improve your buildings, prepare your defences, and support the people living in your colony.

Automation, Travel, and Discovery

Create provides the foundation for mechanical automation, letting you turn gathered materials into useful production systems. Railways and Create Aeronautics add further ways to move resources and travel, including airships for sailing through the skies.

Beyond your colony, the world offers overhauled dungeons, revamped villages, and secrets worth seeking out. Small Ships, Waystones, Xaero’s Minimap, and Xaero’s World Map support longer journeys, while Better Archeology and expanded structures add more reasons to investigate unfamiliar places.

Magic develops alongside technology rather than replacing it. Iron’s Spells ‘n Spellbooks brings spellcasting to the pack, but access to more powerful spellbooks depends on colony growth and surviving the dangers that follow.
