A Shared Horror Sandbox
All in One combines SCP-inspired containment horror with hostile creatures, unsettling environments, survival systems, and modern combat. It runs on Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge 47.4.10, and version 2.4.0 contains 216 mods.
Recognisable additions include SCP Lockdown, Lost Cities, backrooms content, Cold Sweat, SecurityCraft, Simple Voice Chat, and Xaero’s World Map. Together, they give groups plenty of reasons to split up, build secure shelters, investigate dangerous places, and immediately regret splitting up.
A permanent server makes that tension work better. Progress continues between sessions, shared bases remain available, and nobody needs to leave their gaming PC running for everyone else.
Hosting Considerations for All in One (SCP universe+)
With a pack this size, fast single-threaded CPU performance matters alongside memory. Common pressure points include world generation, groups travelling in different directions, large numbers of active creatures, and accumulated chunks or entities in a mature world.
Memory needs usually grow with player activity, exploration, and how long the world has been running. Leaving some headroom is wiser than selecting the bare minimum, particularly if your group tends to scatter across the map. Premium plans are the sensible starting point for most established groups.
Pregenerating the area your players expect to use can reduce generation spikes during busy sessions. The included Chunky mod can help, but pregeneration should be planned rather than allowed to consume storage unchecked.
Keep the server and every client on the same pack release. Large Forge packs are sensitive to missing mods and mismatched configuration files, so take a backup before updating or changing the pack. If you use Simple Voice Chat, its additional network settings may also need configuring.
Start conservatively with simulation and view distances, then raise them after checking actual tick performance. More distance is not free, especially when players spread out.
