Changed data is stored on separate dedicated backup storage, not your allocated server disk or the game node, so a problem affecting the running machine doesn’t automatically take every restore point with it.
Before anything is restored, SaveGuard saves the current state and shows which files would be added, changed or removed. You can see what will happen first instead of clicking blindly and hoping the world comes back in one piece.
