Power Engineering has several big tech systems to shape around your group’s preferred rules. Config Layers lets you adjust supported mod settings from CreeperPanel without digging through the pack’s own configuration files.
Your choices are stored separately in a JSON layer, then merged when the server starts. The pack’s original files remain untouched, so a pack or mod update won’t simply wipe the settings you chose for your world. That means less time comparing files after an update, and more time getting the production line moving again.
CreeperPanel also installs the chosen pack version and lets you switch to another supported version without rebuilding the server by hand. When a version change is on the cards, keeping your own settings separate makes the job less of a guessing game.
Roll back the machine mishap
A factory experiment can be fun right up until it chews through a chunk, breaks a carefully planned setup or sends progress somewhere strange. On Premium and Pro, SaveGuard keeps incremental recovery points on separate backup storage, rather than using your allocated server disk for the history.
Changed data is shared between recovery points where possible, so the history does not need a complete fresh copy every time. CreeperPanel shows the available points for you to choose from when a bad update or test needs undoing.
SaveGuard also makes the restore less blind. Before changes are applied, the panel protects the current state and shows which files would be added, altered or removed. You can check what is about to happen before sending your friends back to an earlier point in the world. That matters when Create builds, AE2 systems and Mekanism machines are tied into the same base.

As Power Engineering builds grow, a busy area can leave you wondering which part needs attention. Live diagnostics show current TPS, memory use, dimensions, and entity and block-entity counts, so you can start with what is actually happening on the server.
The profiler points to the entity or block-entity types eating the most tick time. Instead of tearing apart every machine because the base feels sluggish, you can look for the particular moving parts behind the trouble. A crowded Create mechanism or a pile of active technical blocks is much easier to investigate when the panel gives you a clear lead.
