ExileColonies Overview
ExileColonies is a Minecraft 1.21.1 Vanilla+ pack built around MineColonies and Create, running on NeoForge 21.1.244. Its 276 mods broaden the game without abandoning Minecraft’s familiar building and survival loop.
Your group can establish a working settlement, engineer production with Create, and venture beyond the town walls for structures and loot. Ars Nouveau adds spellcraft, while Farmer’s Delight, Waystones, Storage Drawers, Small Ships, and dungeon-focused additions give different players plenty of useful jobs.
That mixture works particularly well on a shared server: builders can shape the colony, engineers can refine machinery, and explorers can keep bringing home whatever they absolutely insist “might be useful later.”
A World Built for a Group
ExileColonies rewards a server that keeps running after everyone logs out. Players can contribute at different times without relying on one person to launch a local save, forward ports, or stay online.
It is also the sort of pack where builds accumulate rather than disappear after a short playthrough. Colonies spread, transport links grow, storage fills up, and Create contraptions become more elaborate. CreeperPanel’s GUI tools make it easier to manage mods and configuration files as your group decides how it wants the server to play.
Regular world backups are sensible before pack updates or major configuration changes. For long-lived servers, agreeing on colony locations and exploration directions can also prevent players from generating huge stretches of terrain unnecessarily.
Hosting Considerations for ExileColonies
A fresh world with a small group is usually less demanding than an established settlement. Over time, MineColonies workers, loaded chunks, Create machinery, mobs, and other ticking blocks can increase the amount of work the server performs each tick.
That does not mean every large colony will lag. Layout, automation design, chunk loading, exploration habits, and the number of active players all matter. Common trouble spots include very dense production areas, large numbers of entities, and machines left running when nobody needs them.
World generation can cause shorter performance dips when several players explore in different directions. Pre-generating a practical area may help groups planning a busy launch, although there is little value in generating an enormous map nobody will visit.
We recommend the Premium range for ExileColonies, particularly if you expect a long-running colony or several simultaneous players. Native CPU performance generally matters more than simply adding memory forever; enough memory prevents pressure, but strong tick performance keeps active settlements responsive.
Why Run ExileColonies with CreeperHost?
Our hybrid VPS platform delivers native CPU performance on hardware chosen for modded Minecraft, giving expanding colonies and automation-heavy bases a stronger foundation.
Eligible Premium services also include Ask Theo, which can inspect current server and panel state, explain likely problems, and prepare safe next steps for your approval. It works alongside real CreeperHost support—not instead of it.
We have spent more than 13 years hosting modded communities, so when your colony starts behaving strangely at midnight, you are talking to people who understand more than vanilla server settings.
Got questions?
Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.
CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.
Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
