Your Fractal Times server, with the useful bits included.
Host your Fractal Times server
Host Fractal Times as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and give your group an always-on world where dragons, machinery, magic, dinosaurs, and firearms can collide without somebody running Forge from a spare PC.
- One-click installation avoids manual pack and Forge setup.
- Self-hosting ties every session to one machine and home connection.
- Casual hosting often lacks useful tools when modded lag appears.
- Premium is our recommended range for this heavier, long-running pack.
- Experienced modded Minecraft support is available when things get strange.
What to Expect from Fractal Times
Fractal Times is a 163-mod adventure, exploration, magic, and technology pack for Minecraft 1.18.2 using Forge 40.3.0.
Its broad mod selection gives players plenty of directions to take. Ice and Fire brings dragons into the world, while Biomes O’ Plenty and YUNG’s Better Mineshafts expand exploration. Mekanism, Thermal, and Industrial Foregoing support large technical builds; Mystical Agriculture and Botany Pots offer scalable production; Apotheosis adds more character progression.
That variety works particularly well in multiplayer. One player can build factories while another hunts creatures, develops farms, or fortifies a settlement with SecurityCraft and decorative building mods. Shared storage and transport projects also give the group reasons to keep improving one world rather than restarting after a weekend.
Hosting Considerations for Fractal Times
Exploring New Terrain
Large biome and structure mods commonly make fresh chunk generation one of the server’s busiest jobs. If several players travel in different directions at once, the CPU must generate and save multiple areas while still handling combat, creatures, and machines.
Pre-generating the region around spawn can smooth out early exploration. Sensible view and simulation distances also help, particularly when players use fast travel or spread across the map. Faster world growth means larger backups too, so allow room for the world save rather than judging the server only by its initial size.
Growing Bases and Automation
Memory use will usually rise as players uncover more terrain, build storage networks, collect creatures, and add automated farms. Machinery from Mekanism, Thermal, and Industrial Foregoing can also increase tick time when many devices, pipes, inventories, and farms remain active together.
That does not mean automation needs banning. Build compact systems, avoid leaving unnecessary machines running, and keep mob farms under control. If tick rate starts slipping, measure the cause before removing mods or randomly changing Java settings. Entity counts, loaded chunks, and one oversized factory are often more useful clues than total mod count alone.
Back up the world before pack updates or major configuration changes. Fractal Times uses an older Minecraft and Forge branch, so matching the intended versions matters when adding anything manually.
Why Run It with CreeperHost?
Our hybrid VPS platform gives modded servers native CPU performance, backed by liquid-cooled Ryzen, EPYC, and Intel Ultra systems. That matters when world generation and busy bases compete for the same tick.
CreeperPanel includes tools for finding lag sources instead of leaving you to guess. On eligible Premium and Pro services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain what it finds, and prepare safe next steps for your approval.
We have hosted modded Minecraft communities for over 13 years, and real support staff are here when a dragon-filled factory world stops behaving normally.
Got questions?
Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.
CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.
Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
