What Is Meteors Incoming?
Meteors Incoming is a Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge pack built around town creation, survival, quests, exploration, and technology. Its 139 mods make it broad enough for players to find different jobs without turning the experience into an enormous kitchen-sink pack.
Create, Applied Energistics 2, and the Thermal series provide plenty of automation and storage projects. Biomes O’ Plenty, Towns and Towers, and Ice and Fire encourage expeditions beyond your settlement, while Apotheosis, Artifacts, and Reliquary add character progression and useful discoveries.
That mixture works particularly well on a shared server: builders can expand the town, engineers can automate supplies, and adventurers can bring back whatever everyone else forgot they needed.
Hosting Considerations for Meteors Incoming
CPU and memory
The pack is described as relatively light, but an established multiplayer world can still become busier than a fresh server. Create contraptions, Thermal machines, Applied Energistics networks, loaded chunks, mobs, and item movement all contribute to tick time.
Memory needs commonly rise as the world grows and more players spread out. Leaving sensible headroom is better than assigning only enough memory to complete startup. For a regular group building permanent bases, we would generally start with a Premium service rather than treating the server like a temporary vanilla world.
World growth and busy bases
Exploration often causes the sharpest short-term load because the server must generate new terrain and structures. Several players travelling in separate directions can make that more noticeable, particularly while the main town is also running machinery.
Large automation builds usually behave better when players avoid unnecessary always-on contraptions, excessive loose items, and machines working without a useful output. Chunk loading should also be kept deliberate rather than applied to every project by default.
Back up the world before pack upgrades or major configuration changes. Modded updates can alter scripts, recipes, dependencies, or world data even when the visible version change looks small. CreeperPanel’s mod and configuration tools make routine adjustments less fiddly, but backups remain the sensible first move.
Why Run It with CreeperHost?
Our hybrid VPS platform gives the server native CPU performance, which matters once your town fills with machines, storage systems, mobs, and several players doing different things.
CreeperPanel includes tools for tracking down lag instead of leaving you to guess which build or chunk is causing trouble. On eligible Premium and Pro services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain what it finds, and prepare safe next steps for your approval.
If the server gets properly strange, our team brings more than 13 years of modded Minecraft hosting experience to the problem. You keep building the town; we help keep its machinery from becoming the real apocalypse.
Got questions?
Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.
CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.
Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
