Survive the Frozen World

Temperature is central to survival. Track your body heat, regulate it with suitable equipment, and prepare carefully before travelling through snowy terrain. Increased snowfall causes temperatures to fall, snow to accumulate, and fog to become thicker and darker. The reduced visibility makes familiar areas feel dangerous, especially when other creatures are also hunting for survival.

Torches and campfires are finite, adding greater importance to preparation and careful use of light. Realistic Torches, unlit campfire features, and snowy-world changes reinforce the pack’s cold, hostile atmosphere.

Hunt, Fish, and Stay Warm

Food and animal fur are essential parts of progression. Hunt deer, goats, and other animals adapted to the frozen landscape, or use fishing to secure supplies through a more demanding minigame. Fur can insulate armor, while Goat Fur armor offers another way to endure the cold.

The included hunting rifle gives players a ranged option for pursuing wildlife. Recipes are focused around the Winchester M1894 Lever-Action Rifle, with JEI helping explain available crafting information and pack recipes.
