Host your Souls of Avarice server

Host Souls of Avarice as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and give your group an always-online home for its long questline, demanding progression, exploration, technology, and magic.

  • Premium is our recommended range for a pack built around a lengthy shared world.
  • One-click installs and updates preserve your configuration changes.
  • Home hosting becomes awkward once exploration, automation, and extra dimensions expand the save.
  • Casual hosting often depends on one player’s PC and upload speed.
  • Built-in backup and diagnostic tools make experimental pack updates less nerve-racking.

Souls of Avarice Overview

Souls of Avarice brings the story and broad progression of GreedyCraft into Minecraft 1.20.1 on Forge. It mixes structured quests with boss encounters, dimension-hopping exploration, automation, storage systems, magic, and increasingly gated challenges.

You can choose between Casual, Adventure, and Expert modes, giving groups some control over the pressure and pace of a playthrough. Its custom quest engine supports an unusually large campaign without relying on a standard quest mod.

This is still an experimental project. Expect occasional balance changes, bugs, and updates as development continues. That makes sensible backups especially important for any world your group intends to keep.

Building a Long-Term Multiplayer World

This is the sort of pack where a server earns its keep. Players can progress at different times, return to established bases, and tackle the wider campaign without waiting for the person who normally hosts the world.

Before starting, agree on a pack mode and how your group wants to approach progression. A relaxed group may prefer room to explore independently, while an Expert run benefits from coordination and shared planning.

Keep regular world backups before pack upgrades, particularly while the pack remains experimental. CreeperHost’s update tools retain your changed configuration files, but a backup still gives you a clean way back if a new pack version changes progression or world content unexpectedly.

Hosting Considerations for Souls of Avarice

Large Forge packs commonly become more demanding as the world matures. New chunk generation, multiple dimensions, growing bases, item networks, and automated machinery can all add pressure even when the player list is modest.

Memory matters, but it is not the only concern. Minecraft’s main server thread often benefits more from strong CPU performance than from simply adding more RAM. For that reason, we recommend starting Souls of Avarice on our Premium range rather than treating it like a lightweight vanilla world.

Exploration can also produce a sizeable world folder. Encourage players to reuse routes and waypoints where practical, and keep an eye on storage as the campaign reaches more dimensions. Scheduled restarts can help long-running Forge servers clear accumulated memory, though they should not be used to hide a persistent mod or configuration problem.

After updates, check the console for repeated errors and test important progression before everyone piles back in. If tick times worsen, CreeperPanel’s diagnostic tools can help distinguish chunk generation, entities, automation, or a misbehaving mod from a simple memory shortage.

Why Run It with CreeperHost?

Our hybrid VPS platform delivers native CPU performance on modern Ryzen, EPYC, and Intel Ultra hardware tuned around modded Minecraft.

On eligible Premium and Pro services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain likely trouble, and prepare safe next steps for your approval. When the server gets properly strange, our support team brings more than 13 years of modded hosting experience to the problem.

Got questions?

Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.

CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.

Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
